Description:

Position Requires a Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance with a Polygraph.

We are seeking a Release Engineer who will manage the build and release process for software developed on an enterprise network. This includes tracking software efforts targeted for a build and ensuring the software is included in the release, as well as working closely with developers and engineers to ensure build processes are followed. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn and perform other engineering related tasks through close coordination with our talented engineering team.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
• Deploying software
• Managing version control
• Resolving software and SCCM issues
• Generating and maintaining documentation
• Contributing to continuous delivery cycle
• Implementing DevOps Release Management best practices
• Staging, piloting, and deploying new software releases to the production environment and adhering to the established change control process
• Identifying and fixing discrepancies during the staging and piloting process prior to roll-out
• Ensuring software being changed is traceable and secure, and only authorized and tested software versions are deployed
• Coordinating with internal and external team members to ensure software is configured and implemented correctly
• Designing and implementing efficient procedures for the distribution and installation of changes to a production baseline
• Ensuring master copies of software are secured in the configuration management database
• Recommending process improvements to include standard operating procedures
• Conducting preliminary checkout of software builds, troubleshooting issues, and working with team members, as needed to achieve issue resolution
• Generating and maintaining software build procedure and release documentation
• Providing technical guidance in systems build engineering techniques and automated support tools
• Performing monthly patches from Microsoft for workstations, servers, and applications
• Troubleshooting and fixing SCCM client issues

Estimated Salary:

Salary Range: Up to $195,000.00 per year

Mandatory Requirements:

• Experience with the following:
o Configuration management for desktops, including Microsoft System Center Configuration (SCCM) 1909 or higher
o Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or higher
o Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Object (GPO)
• Strong working knowledge and extensive implementation experience with Microsoft Windows OS builds, diagnostic troubleshooting, scripting, and software management
• Experience with PowerShell
• Understanding of computer languages
• Analytical thinker

Optional Requirements:

• Understanding of configuration management best practices and tools
