Description:

Position Requires a Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance with a Polygraph.

We are seeking a Senior Systems Configuration Manager who will support our customer by providing continuous improvement and support of an enterprise infrastructure. As a Configuration Manager (CM), you will also design, develop, and establish configuration and data management documentation based on program requirements.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
• Preparation for baseline and verification audits, baseline data control, tracking of CM data and artifacts, and validation of CM data
• Developing and continuously improving technical documentation standards
• Developing and implementing the CM plan, charter, and processes and procedures
• Tracking CM tasks and action items, management of the change repository, and preparing and coordinating CM correspondence and documentation
• Preparing written material recording status and documenting task results in most cases (This will require direct interface with a wide range of customers and stakeholders at various levels daily)
• Managing multiple systems baselines, including release management of software updates
• Maintaining the customer’s CI database and reviewing CM plans for compliance
• Assisting in monitoring configuration control and configuration status for conformance (current version)
• Providing configuration accounting in support of change management activities and facilitating and/or participating in control boards and gates
• Assisting the customer in the review of status and effectiveness of the systems integration, as well as systems develop and change control process
• Tracking software baselines, including licenses and maintenance agreements
• Maintaining a repository to track and report on engineering change proposals (ECP), change requires, and baseline analysis
• Participating in the preparation and coordination for readiness reviews
• Participating in the planning, conduce, and report preparation of functional configuration audits and physical configuration audits
• Managing and facilitating the change control process, including material preparation for the Configuration Control Board
• Administering the flow of systems change documentation between the various change reviews and control bodies, change requestors, and other participants in the change review and control processes
• Performing work on specialty areas of configuration management, data management, and engineering data
• Developing, tracking, and recording CM metrics to assess achievement of CM requirements objectives
• Assessing the effectiveness of CM processes and recommending process improvements to the customer
• Submitting configuration management project deliverables upon Government request
• Organizing and supporting CM related boards, forums, and working groups
• Recording minutes and actions
• Assisting with resolution and presentation of results
• Identifying requirements and coordinating the development and implementation of computer based configuration, data management systems, and electronic data support
• Ensuring coordination of baselines between all major stakeholders
• Weekly status reporting to the customer and contract

Estimated Salary:

Salary Range: Up to $215,000.00 per year

Mandatory Requirements:

• Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) administration, patch deployment, management, and reporting
• Experience with CM disaster recovery planning and execution
• Knowledge of standard client and server, networking, and internet fundamentals
• Experience in a fast-paced IT environment
• Possess strong attention to detail where the quality of products, services, and processes are a constant focus
• Ability to work independently within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure project objectives are met
• Thorough knowledge of hardware and software development life cycles and the CDRL development process
• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills
• Must be a self-starter with effective communication and excellent briefing skills
