Position Requires a Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance with a Polygraph.

We are seeking a Lead Systems Engineer who will perform engineering for Lotus Notes / Domino systems and server administration, and provide operations and maintenance (O&M) support for a large enterprise consisting of 24×7 server infrastructures of over 700 Domino Servers.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
• Determining user needs and analyzing systems capabilities to resolve problems
• Ensuring software standards are met
• Continuously enhancing the quality of service provided in the Domino infrastructure
• Conducting multidisciplinary research and collaborating with software vendors (IBM) in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software
• Working closely with the engineering staff lead to implement best Domino engineering practices
• Performing continuous engineering assessments for all operational issues
• Applying superior Domino knowledge on best practices for Domino server consolidation
• Applying engineering techniques to appropriately troubleshoot for error resolution in mail routing, tracing, tracking, and Lotus Notes client interface
• Attending Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) to discuss and agree upon MOAs to ensure MOA is within scope of the server team’s work
• Performing Domino technical evaluations, analysis, and troubleshooting for all supported servers in response to help desk tickets, which includes, but not limited to, the following activities:
o Server failures
o Full systems outages
• Performing operating system software updates and upgrades
• Creating request for ESMT from internal and external service providers
• Building servers and providing technical configuration, setup, installation services, hardware, and coordination for application projects
• Assisting with Domino server maintenance and special projects during extended work hours
• Communicating outage and degradation of Domino Servers to management
• Understanding and implementing established technical and workflow procedures

Estimated Salary:
Position Level: Level 2 – Expert
Salary Range: Up to $195,000.00 per year

Mandatory Requirements:

• Strong Domino experience to perform technical planning to allow an engineering influence and allow consolidation and best practices mechanisms to be applied for server consolidation and reduction in the server footprint
• Broad systems experience and understanding of supporting elements of the architecture, including the operating system and relevant networks
• Domino 9 expertise to upgrade in the current infrastructure
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of the @ command language
• ESMT ticket knowledge
• Superior communication skills to interface with the customer
• Knowledge on Amazon Web Service (AWS)
• Understanding of Domino 9 and Notes 9
• Experience with authorization and accreditation documentation

Optional Requirements:

• Superior Domino expertise, including Domino 9
• Experience and familiarity with Microsoft Windows 2012 and 2016
• Experience and familiarity with managing Windows enterprise resources hosted in a virtual environment (e.g., ESX and VMware)
• Experience with performance testing and tuning
