2022885 Infrastructure Automation Engineer $215,000.00

Description:

Position Requires a Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance with a Polygraph.

This position involves the development of automation solutions utilizing Nutanix Calm, Ansible Core and Ansible Tower for sustainment operations and solution delivery that focuses on all aspects of the infrastructure including architecture, engineering, design, installation, configuration and security compliance.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Develop a deep understanding of the complex mission environment and design innovative solutions that encompass multiple disciplines for customer requirements
• Develop Ansible playbooks and modules for various virtualization/infrastructure/operating systems/automation technologies and networking protocols.
• Create and deploy Ansible solutions for a HPC and distributed data center infrastructure environment.
• Engage with the customer, program manager and technical team to understand site reliability and operations shortcomings and devise short-term and long-term plans, and execute them in timely manner
• Develop Ansible playbooks and modules for
• Foster and develop cross-team skills in Ansible playbook development, Ansible infrastructure, operations, maintenance, troubleshooting and issue resolution in dev, test, and production environments.
• Provide SME support to Infrastructure and HPC teams, customer, and Stakeholders concerning automation solution usage.

Estimated Salary:

Salary Range: Up to $215,000.00 per year

Mandatory Requirements:

1. • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field related to the position (Computer Science, Information/Systems Engineering, or other technical discipline) or 3 years specialized systems, infrastructure, or enterprise architecture equivalency
2. • Minimum three (3) years’ experience with automation and scripting tools to include the following tools: Chef, Ansible, Ansible Tower, YAML, Jenkins, Puppet or equivalent.
3. • Strong experience coding and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Perl, Bash, Batch files, etc.).
4. • Strong experience with RHEL 6, RHEL 7, Windows 2012 and Windows 2016 System Administration
5. • Strong knowledge of Source Code Control Systems (Git) and Red Hat Satellite.

Optional Requirements:

1. • Technical Team Leadership experience
2. • Experience engineering, automating, and sustaining customer’s mission or enterprise virtualized platforms and capabilities
3. • Knowledge of applicable customer security and technology policies and procedures
4. • Demonstrated experience analyzing user needs and developing technical solutions
5. • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in cloud-based IT systems or hybrid cloud delivery models designing, developing in, or transitioning systems and processes to the cloud
6. • Experience in Software Defined Data Center expertise including:
7. o Container technologies and architectures (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Swarm) design for large data center
8. o Experience with application automation, shell scripting , chef & ansible related automation language
9. o Strong automated quality assurance testing background
10. o Experience writing, debugging and executing test scripts
11. o Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and ability to understand/implement business processes
