2023339 Senior Software/DevOps Engineer $215,000.00


Position Requires a Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance with a Polygraph.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building the software code and related architecture that powers the products that our customers need to secure their infrastructure. We’re looking for someone with experience in all aspects of software development life cycle and to contribute as a member of an agile and fast-paced Scrum Team. This includes software design, implementation, and test under the direction of a more senior-level engineer, supporting customer demonstrations.

Our ideal candidate is highly autonomous, very detail oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and has experience working with large scale, enterprise class networks and systems. The candidate will also have experience with CI/CD pipeline and object-oriented programming. The candidate will have experience with at least one of the following languages: Bash, Python, or Java Scripting. The candidate must be able to adapt quickly to changing customer needs and technology applications. They have the desire and ability to work closely with their peers and customers in a fast paced, collaborative environment. They will develop best practices and bring both a focus on operational best practice and proactive innovation to the role.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop user focused tools that include:

Auto-fill, remote value loop, user entry minification, action-based notification, task deep linking, full audit and authentication, and filtering using commercial best practices

Building new services and tools to enhance the IC security posture for any/all network and related systems deployed

Lead the development setup of Cloud Infrastructure (i.e., S3 containers/buckets, setting up instances)

Continue to improve the scalability and availability of the environment – enable the organization to scale up and down instances automatically/with ease (due to limited resources or specific organizational needs that surface)

Deliver the ability to quickly deliver new features/services/technology stacks

Build out an elastic search cluster (an example)

Build out a Kubernetes cluster (an example)

Design, build and maintain the abilities to ensure the development team offerings/tools/systems operate a ta Tier 1 availability level (Enterprise level)

Assist development team to build out CI-CD pipeline to ensure seamless deployment of new code

Ensure our cloud infrastructure/instances are operate at 99.9% availability

Partner with other development leads on the scalability approach

Participate in design/architecture/code review meetings to ensure that our cloud infrastructure can handle the new code/design/architecture

Ensuring proper fundamentals are instituted and work is properly migrated from one network to another.

Act as the primary POC to lead database and data lake orchestration, build out new workstations and manage any challenges with physical infrastructure hardware and networks for the development team.

Ensuring all scanning, patches and software updates are current every 120 days.

Mandatory Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree

6+ years of professional software development experience

4+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java Scripting, Bash, Python, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

4+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

Experience in cybersecurity related to cloud computing services offered by multiple vendors and utilized in hybrid deployment architectures

Experience in evaluation of security-focused tools and services

Linux experience (use, development, deployment, OS customization)

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Optional Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience

Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis

Experience with Java, Go, Ruby and/or Python

Experience developing complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers

Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through production

Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs

Experience mentoring junior software development engineers and driving engineering

Restful API development and integration

Development of data driven front and back-end applications

Demonstrated experience developing and deploying automated hardware appliances and infrastructure via orchestration, containerized workloads, PKI Infrastructure, Encryption at rest services

Docker, Kubernetes, general containerization and micro-virtualization

Demonstrate innovative security approaches in non-traditional IT environments

Solid understanding of encryption technologies and principles.
